Since already quite some time we are following a different setup. The latest KDE release is always supplied in a KDE:Release:xy repository for the current and previous openSUSE release (e.g. at this moment KDE 4.10.5 is available in the KDE:Release:410 repository for both 12.3 and 12.2). We also successfully applied maintenance updates for our openSUSE 12.3 users, where they got automatically the 4.10.x releases supplied to the systems.

This different setup is working very well too by the way. Just wanted to say thanks for the work and the effort that goes into this. The experience has been very positive.
