This is not relate to the Imap server, my imap server did not change. I only upgrade the client (kmail) my moving some workstations and Laptop to 8.2 in place of 8.0. In fact when joining on the Folder creation menu you do not even see the imap server, as you should normally do. Fulup Le Mercredi 21 Mai 2003 23:16, BandiPat a écrit :

Hi, I have an Internet Navigator Keyboard connected to a Dell Laptop. In the KDE Control Center I chose use Keyboard Layout and chose the Internet Navigator keyboard. That works fine so far. Now I would like to also add a mapping for the keys on my laptop. Where do I find the mapping for the Internet Navigator Keyboard and how can I modify it? Where are the mappings for Keyboard layouts stored in KDE? Thank you Sebastian

Ok, one method is to create one yourself. do the following, it isn't that hard. First as root. cut and paste at the bottom the following into first lines into your /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XKeysymDB file: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ! Logitech Internet KeyBoard Go :10090000 0x10090000 233 Back :10090001 0x10090001 234 MouseButton :10090002 0x10090002 150 WheelUp :10090003 0x10090003 98 MouseDown :10090004 0x10090004 104 User :10009005 0x10090005 233 Email :10090006 0x10090006 236 Messenger :10090007 0x10090007 145 WebCam :100900BC 0x100900BC 146 Rewind :10090008 0x10090008 144 FastForward :1009000A 0x1009000A 153 PlayPause :1009000B 0x1009000B 162 Stop :1009000C 0x1009000C 164 Media :1009000D 0x1009000D 237 VolumeUp :1009000E 0x1009000E 176 VolumeDown :1009000F 0x1009000F 174 Mute :100900AB 0x100900AB 160 iTouch :100900AC 0x100900AC 147 Search :100900AD 0x100900AD 229 Shopping :100900AE 0x100900AE 148 Favorites :100900AF 0x100900AF 230 MyHome :100900BA 0x100900BA 178 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Just the frist two comlumns, not the two after that. You'll use them later. The second two columns are for you /home/<user-name>/.Xmodmap Next do, in your home directory "cp .Xmodmap Xmodmap.bkup (notice the bkup aned no "." in the start of the file name). Now you'll have an Xmodmap you can change but if it fails (which is really won't) then you can cp it back to the original and overwrite it. So. now as the user call up in the konsole "xmodmap -pke" and it will look like mine but with out the associated keysyms put into it (it's gonna be long). keycode 8 = keycode 9 = Escape keycode 10 = 1 The 2nd to comlumns match the .Xmodap I have created. I did this by using in the konsole "xev" and the pressing keys to find out the number of the key. Pressing the "return" key tells you this, and it's in the keymap. KeyRelease event, serial 21, synthetic NO, window 0x3200001, root 0x8c, subw 0x0, time 1020124, (401,665), root:(405,691), state 0x10, keycode 36 (keysym 0xff0d, Return), same_screen YES, " XLookupString gives 1 bytes: " Pressing the "go" key returns this, but it's not in the key map, but xev reads the key. In your case the part that says "keycode" and then gives the keysym will in most cases say "keycode 223 (no ksysym )" or something to that effect. KeyPress event, serial 27, synthetic NO, window 0x3200001, root 0x8c, subw 0x0, time 1119138, (542,710), root:(546,736), state 0x10, keycode 233 (keysym 0x10090000, Go), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: "" If your keyboard is indeed a Logitech internet keyboard witth the same layout you can just cut and paste what I've included. Anyway, using "xev" you press they extra multimedia keys and see what number they are, and then referring to the list match the number to the keys. E.G.: In the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XKeysymDB file you'll have something like the above and for go it is this: Go :10090000 And "xev" will tell you it's keycode/number is 223. So in you home directory is ~/.Xmodmap open an editor like kedit and then find key number 223. Then you can either put the word "Go" or the hexidecimal number "0x0090000. ^^^^^^^^ Do this for each key and then save the file, it should look similar to the one above. You can use the one in the KControl Center but it gives you the keysyms that look like this" 0x1008FF5F (XF86Go). I did this because I have no way of knowing if they are reading the right keysyms (vendors vary model revision slightly). This isn't as hard as it may sound. REVEIW: copy home .Xmodmap to xmodmap.bkup. Cut and paste fisrt two columns to the XKeysymDB file in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11 directory. Them in konsole type "xmodmap -pke", the open that new file up with an editor (.Xmodmap). Then using xev see the keycode numbers and the apply them to the .Xmodmap by finding the number in ~/.Xmodmap and then putting in either the key name (e.g Go) or the hexidecimal number (e.g 0090000 with a 0x in front = 0x0090000). Once all the keys have be entered into the .Xmodmap then logout and restart the Xserver. If it doesn't take right away then repost. You may need to run xmodmap -pke again with xev open as well (can be finicky at times). Like I said. If you have the same model and language setting as me then you can just cut and paste what I've included. Good Luck! Cheers, Curtis.
