[opensuse-kde] KDE:Release:45 repo broken???
What happened to the KDE:Release:45 repo? from the way it looks on OBS, it has been "migrated" to qt 4.7, which was not supposed to happen, from what I remember... Wasn't it supposed to stay on qt 4.6? bye, MH -- gpg key fingerprint: 5F64 4C92 9B77 DE37 D184 C5F9 B013 44E7 27BD 763C () ascii ribbon campaign against HTML e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I had the same question yesterday and from my point of view the situation even got worse. Yesterday many packages where of version 4.5.2 while many others still were 4.5.1. So there was a version mismatch (seemed to be not completely built to the newer version) Today there are still some packages of version 4.5.1 but now I also recieve these qt 4.7 warnings. I was not aware that this is the experimental/playground/unstable/ whatever area but mayby I missed something. This complete KDE repository game is a bit ... lets say confusing. confusing was last year. by now it's just outright annoying. the whole repo system seems to run under the rule of "we make random changes, we do not care about people who might actually use these repositories" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Easy does it. There was no arbitrary change. We are in the process of opening up repo maintenance to the community. Please be tolerant of some growing pains like this while we do so. The KDE:Release:45 repo was updated to 4.5.2 without disabling publish so a partial build was synced out. It will be completed later today. that doesn't change the fact that some of the stuff in it now requires QT 4.7 which was not supposed to happen outside K:D:F :/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

The accidental usage of a macro from KDF that requires 4.7.0 was a work-in- progress screwup of the kind that happens all the time during a version bump but you never notice when publish is disabled. It's like leaving the kitchen door open while making goose liver pate, if the diners see it they might throw up. Bon appetit - the next course will be served in a few hours ;).
