Where did you get that info? My SuSE 9.1 Pro uses KDE by default.

Novell Desktop is a completely separate product aimed at the business market, not the consumer market. It only makes sense that Novell packages their business product differently than the consumer one. kde is very great for the destktop, novell don't seem to use it for the businness market
Well, I sure am not going to loose any sleep over it. SuSE Pro may ship with KDE, but it can easily be replaced with Gnome. If Novell decides to alter that and ship with Gnome, I'm sure the opposite will still apply.
