HI guys, I just installed kdm-4.10.5-9.1 on oS 12.2 and there is this error message: /usr/sbin/useradd: unrecognized option '--user-group' Try `useradd --help' or `useradd --usage' for more information. Warning: Creation of missing GreeterUID user kdm failed I don't know if this is new or I missed it in the past.. Well, based on OSS 12.3 (from shadow-4.1.5.1-4.2.1), the option "--user-group" does exist. for primary group: "-g", "--gid" for other group membership: "-G", "--groups" for groupname same name as username: "-U", "--user-group" in this case I'd try to go the "save" way: 1. /usr/sbin/groupadd "$NAME" 2. /usr/sbin/useradd -g "$NAME" "$NAME" Shit happens. Hint: try to include a 'fresher' shadow - package as Build-Requires OBS package could be outdated. - Yamaban. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
