wg, 1) Check the permissions on the following file: /tmp/kde-user/ksycoca user should be replaced by your username 2) If owner and group is set to root change at least the owner cd /tmp/kde-user chown user ksycoca again: user should be replaced with your username you have to be root for this (given the file is owned by root) 3) run kbuildsycoca Now everything should work.
