It's a matter of altering the colour of the background for the ToolTips (which are what you get when you hover over an icon). I have forgotten what the actual item is called in the Configuration settings and I haven't bothered to go back and try and locate it but it is part of the menu where you alter the colour of the text and the background when you are, eg, using the writer (for example, I use a deep blue background with white text in my documents). My background is black and text is white for tooltips Why would that not work? Seems like a bug to me I actually just rolled back kde on beta 1 (which I had running KDF) back to the DVD kde 4.7.1 and the problem remains Gnome 2 in 11.4 is OK (FYI) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Works for me with the packages from KDF and yesterday's LibreOffice update. I did not yet reboot though after updating LibreOffice. I use the Air plasma theme and oxygen windeco. I had this also. i resolved it by going into: Configure desktop --> Common Appearance & Behavior (Application Appearance) --> Colors --> Colors and changed Button background to white and button Text to Black. Don't remember what default was. I had the issue in many applications until I made this change. Hope this helps. Yes it was the tool tip buttons. My hands must have gotten ahead of my brain. Part of getting old. I found it about three weeks ago and it has been working fine. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

WIll Thanks fine for LibreOffice but I was also seeing it in Okular and KMyMoney. Yes. I'm thinking it's not application specific, as that would make it odd. In that as mentioned here already, a number of applications are involved and if I boot Gnome, the problem doesn't exist. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
