[opensuse-kde] Status of KDE 4.7 rc1
Hey all; So far KDE 4.7rc1 looks good on Factory, on 11.4 I found a problem which resulted in plasma crashing (which is due to a symbol problem). So to be double sure, I'll let whole repository rebuild which will take some time. So grab a coffee while OBS takes its time. Regards. -- Ismail Dönmez - openSUSE Booster SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

4.7 is KUSC, lets memorize it this way until it becomes wrong ;) -- Ismail Dönmez - openSUSE Booster SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Same symbol problem is happening on 11.4 so please hold on if you want to test it on 11.4 systems. We are debugging the problem. What is the error? I didn't have any problems with the Active packages... -- sebas http://www.kde.org | http://vizZzion.org | GPG Key ID: 9119 0EF9 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Its a dependency problem, kdepimlibs4 depended on libakonadiprotocolinternals1 without a specific version and Akonadi changed ABI in the last release. So it would update kdepimlibs4 but wouldn't update akonadi-runtime due to some other dependency and you would end up in a broken system. This is now fixed and OBS is building new packages. -- Ismail Dönmez - openSUSE Booster SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
