[opensuse-kde] KMail 4.10 thrash-folder vanished
Hi there, since some time i cant see my trash-folder in kmail 4.10. I can move mails to thrash, but there are no thrash visible in the local folder list. How can I get the thrash back? Thanks for tips, Kai -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

You could do this: KMail Setup->Accounts->Setup for Sending and Receiving Messages->Select and highlight your account. Then press on Modify->On Advanced tab->IMAP Settings-
Trash Folder->Select your preferred Trash folder.
In case the folder is not already created you should create it before the above procedures. Hope this help you. Thank you for help me. I am afraid, this would not work, because I use a pop3- account. Any furder ideas? Thanks, Kai Am Montag, 25. Februar 2013, 10:24:59 schrieb Rick Chung:

I have no way to test POP. I am not using that protocol anymore. Anyway try this: Press the Right Button on your Pointer or Mouse on Local Folders. Go to Add Folder and create the Trash folder. Now check if anything is shown on Accounts->Setup Sending and Receiving Messages.... Hope this could lead you on the right path. Settings in a POP3 account only allow you to move incoming messages to an existing folder. It is up to settings for that folder what happens with messages that get deleted. So if you put your message in the Inbox of Local Folders, it is up to Local Folders what happens when you delete a message. -- fr.gr. The following did it: Simply adding the folder trash to local folders. Restart. Thank you, Kai Am Montag, 25. Februar 2013, 21:50:09 schrieb Rick Chung:

Kai, Glad to read you solved this issue that way. Another happier KMail user :-D It's a tradition to add [SOLVED] on the Subject at the end to close and archiving it properly. So please do it (e.g. Re: [opensuse-kde] KMail 4.10 thrash-folder vanished [SOLVED] ) Best regards, -- Ricardo Chung | Panama Ambassador openSUSE Projects -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
