[opensuse-kde] I don't like new kpackagekit update notifier
:) I can't find a way to get the old behavior of only showing security patches and updates. It shows updates from ALL your repos. ? I don't need to download the latest vlc build every morning.. I do want to know about security updates. Also the UI is pretty dead. You can't sort by clicking a column header. And the only available columns are version and arch. It would be nice to at least show a repo column (and to be able to sort by it). Is there a way to fix these things? I suppose it wouldn't be hard to create my own update applet. Check the output of `zypper lp` and put up a tray icon.. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

edit /etc/PackageKit/ZYpp.conf and set [Updates] HidePackages=true It's described in the release notes, iirc.

I also can't help but wonder how hard it'd be to write and maintain a plasmoid speaking directly with zypp. But I guess the future holds more packagekit for us, not less. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
