[opensuse-kde] Dolphin (kde4.8) has video thumbs issue (Delay on context menu actions)
OS 12.1 KDE 4.8 from Release 48 repo Only tested on _64 system Open dolphin on a video dir with mplayer of ffmpeg thumbs enabled and I get intense HD activity and a delay in the availability of context menu actions (Eg; right click > delete) After about 10-15 seconds normal functions return The same issue only returns if dolphins has been unused for some time (In the same session) or if you start a new session (logout/login) Difficult one to put a finger on. But if thumbs are disabled there is no issue. *FYI: dolphin is getting much better though Carl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Same problem with Audio CD on 4.7.2 (intense CD activity). Chris -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

here is 32-bit with Kernel: 3.1.9.6 (Repo →default:openSUSE-12.1) multimedia packages (MPlayer, FFmpeg, etc) from Packman repo, Nvidia-Grafik-Driverchip (Driver self Building), KDE 4.8 from Release:48 repo. The problem can not find, dolphin work here fine. -- °/° Grüße aus dem Schwabenland, °\° gewünscht & gesendet von Linuxsusefan, ^/^ openSUSE Member, ~ die_"SuS(i)E"_sei_mit_euch,_wo_immer_ihr_seid!

The problem can not find, dolphin work here fine. @Lisufas Can you try from reboot. Or logout and In, then go to a video dir and

goes without delays.

waht thumbs-service (plugins) you have install/enabled in dolphin? Strigi-idex is disable. -- °/° Grüße aus dem Schwabenland, °\° gewünscht & gesendet von Linuxsusefan, ^/^ openSUSE Member, ~ die_"SuS(i)E"_sei_mit_euch,_wo_immer_ihr_seid!

This video thumbnail (ffmpeg-thumbnailer) also works in dolphin flawlessly. have updated your media packages (switch packages to packman) mplayer, ffmpeg, including thumbnailer and all other packages? -- °/° Grüße aus dem Schwabenland, °\° gewünscht & gesendet von Linuxsusefan, ^/^ openSUSE Member, ~ die_"SuS(i)E"_sei_mit_euch,_wo_immer_ihr_seid!
