Not directly, but I remember reading that you can use Plasma as a screensaver so you could have a webview as an applet there. I'm not sure how to set this up. Anyone? systemsettings -> desktop -> screensaver -> check "allow widgets on screensaver" and use "Configure widgets" to add the browser widget to the screensaver. However I'm not sure the requirement for a autoupdate interval can be met. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

That's the business of the Web Browser applet, which has an autorefresh timer. Will -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Hi Martin! I do not see the web browser widget when I try to add widgets to the screensaver, even though it is present when adding widgets to the desktop. I think this is due to security measures, of the same kind that allows the comic strip to save a pic from the desktop but disallows the same when put up on the screensaver (the save comic as option is just not there). Am I going wrong somewhere? Thanks -- Atri -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Hm. True, it's not present here either for adding on the screensaver. I didn't actually test it before, just assumed it'd work :-( Dunno if there's some way around it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
