[opensuse-kde] ssl problem on 4.9.1
Hi, Some time ago I file kde bug #306899. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306899 This is possibly an opensuse bug, not kde. I have done some testing. The bug is also present in qupzilla, not an kde app. As it is the site of my ISP, I have the bug also when I use ssl to get my mail (in kmail). I have tried kubuntu (12.10 beta and 12.04 with kde 4.9.1) and there the website loads without problem. That's why I am thinking this is maybe opensuse specific. Can anyone reproduce this? And shall I file a bug with bugzilla.novell.com? Thanks, Cor -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Chromium also says the certificate is valid. Just another point for debugging. I am using openSUSE 12.2 and I have the same problem connecting with konqueror to https://www.ziggo.nl The certificate is not trusted and I have to manually trust the certificate of "UTN USERFirst Hardware Root CA". This certificate is present in /etc/ssl/certs as a soft link to /usr/share/ca- certificates/mozilla/UTN_USERFirst_Hardware_Root_CA.pem This certificate has the following comment lines: # alias=UTN USERFirst Hardware Root CA # trust=server-auth # openssl-trust=serverAuth Probably konqueror does something wrong with the type of trust, although the type seems to be server-auth, which IMHO should work. Still uncertain whether this is something in openSUSE or KDE. I tested it in openSUSE 12.2 with Konqueror 4.9.1 release 561. In the same system I have no problem using Firefox, which uses the same certificate; I checked that. -- fr.gr. Works fine using ReKonq 1.1, kde 4.9.1, openSUSE 12.1 64bit Also fine in Qupzilla1.35 , QT 4.83, Webkit 534.34 Alsom worked w/ konqueror using webkit and khtml although khtml took longer to load. Might be 12.2 specific btw I use the kde4.9 repos see ya dh -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Can someone using factory report back, so that we know if it is 12.2 specific or not? Thanks, Cor -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

If you start kleopatra, do you see any certificates? After I duped to 12.2 I have issues with certificates within e.g. kdepim although the KDE version did not change. I guess that hints towards some change outside KDE. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Sven There are ~15 certificates listed in kleopatra (excluding my own), however only 3 are shown as not expired. I would also say this is something outside KDE. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
I have a problem connecting to a SSL-secured IMAP server via KMail but only a single one (of the three set up) makes problems. Seems be have been introduced in 4.9.1. Am Montag, 24. September 2012, 12:21:37 schrieb Cor Blom:
