[opensuse-kde] Trinity KDE
Hi all, I''ve been put in charge of creating RPMs of the Trinity project - and I've been looking for anyone that can help with this task. :) The project is at home:bravoall1552:trinity, and we're building for Fedora and openSUSE atm. Can anyone, preferably from KDE:KDE3 project, help with this task? I'm sure we can reuse spec files, and adapt them for use on other distributions. (And does anyone want to get a KDE:Trinity project setup? :P) It'd be a great help. I plan to start populating the repository with spec files later this week and next week. -- later, Robert Xu -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Hi Robert. Welcome and good luck! I've forwarded your mail to the opensuse- kde3@opensuse.org list where our KDE 3 users and developers meet. Since you're already writing cross-distro specfiles, have you considered importing Trinity deb sources too to leverage the OBS' power? Do you have any info regarding what exactly their 3.5.11 release would be? Some time ago I looked around a bit and neither found released tar balls nor some "That is our 3.5.11 release" svn revision / tag so I'm a bit puzzled wtf their release is exactly. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

They released 3.5.12 tarballs yesterday. The latest version is 3.5.12, we'll be using that to build. :) -- later, Robert Xu -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

You have an URL for that? (the announcement as well some "released" tar balls) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

They already have 3.5.12 released recently, and tarballs are available from Launchpad, for example. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I assume the trinity stuff doesn't branch to far of the old KDE3 and it's build system (at least yet) I suggest branching the KDE3 packages and uploading the trinity tarballs and modifying the .spec files accordingly, I don't know how that will turn out for Mandriva and Fedora though. Also please think about combining your efforts with the people from the kde3 team, you sure can only profit from each other.
