[opensuse-kde] Wo ist der KNetworkmanager in 4.7?
Hallo Ihr! Meine Frage steht schon im Betreff. Seit dem Release von KDE 4.7 ist der KNetworkmanager verschwunden. Weiß einer wohin? Danke! Kai -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
Oh sorry, wrong list or wrong language. My question was: Where has the KNetworkmanager gone since the KDE 4.7- release? Thanks in advance! Kai On Wednesday, 10. August 2011 22:21:08 Kai Straube wrote:

Neither the wrong language nor the wrong list :) It has been deprecated. plasmoid-networkmanagement replaced it. As per your email to another list, use the UpdatedApps repo. If it doesn't work, then I need to now what version of KDE and openSUSE you are using?
Thanks in advance!

OpenSUSE 11.4 with KDE 4.7. I tried several versions of the plasmoid. The one from Update/Apps, the one from KDE 4.7/Release and also the one from playground. On Wednesday, 10. August 2011 23:42:57 Steven Sroka wrote:

knetworkmanager is depriciated AFAIK. It is recommended to use the plasmoid-networkmanagement since KDE SC 4.5, e.g. from UpdatedApps if it's not part of the repos you are using already. What does not work? Did you log out and back in? Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
If I try to add the plasmoid i get the error: "Dieses Objekt kann aus folgendem Grund nicht erzeugt werden: Die angeforderte Komponente ist nicht auffindbar: org.kde.networkmanagement" ("the object is not createable because: the needed component is not to able to find: org.kde.networkmanagement" or so) Yes, I logged out and in. I mean, I have the problem since today. I chanced the priority of the tumbleweed-repository to a lower value and made a "zypper dup". On Wednesday, 10. August 2011 23:50:53 Sven Burmeister wrote:

Well, if you use tumbleweed and zypper dup you should know what you are doing. It works with KDF and openSUSE 11.4 so I guess it's a local issue rather than plasmoid-networkmanagement having a bug. I naively did so and got a NetworkManager desaster (funny version mixes of NetworkManager, its solid-backend and plasmoid of pacakges of versions 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9). Yes, tumbleweed is advertised to contain the latest stable packages. But for some reason, there are still no KDE-4.7 built for it.
