I didn't test it, because I need my kernel sources not very often, so I install and uninstall them on demand. But I suggest, you post your problem detailled here, perhaps one reads it and saw something similar. Greets, Daniel

Well, it looks like it works for me (SuSE 7.2 & KDE 3.1.1) but then I've manually fixed the couple of things that were broken in the "make xconfig" of the 2.4.18 kernel I just downloaded, so maybe that's helped it. What problems are you having? M -- "It's the small gaps between the rain that count, and learning how to live amongst them." -- Jeff Noon

Hi Hans, Yes, I have used it a few times with good luck. Makes it really easy to load modules, set the cpu type, etc for the kernel. Very nice to configure how it loads the modules as well. I had used the "kernel configurator" before finding the Control Centre module also. Any particular problem you were having or just wondering if it would be safe to use it? :o) Do be careful with it though, as you could render the kernel unusable.
