Can't see the ok-button in the adress window of kmail
Hello list, I've a strange problem. Dont ask me why and how, but I have achieved to change the size of the popup window for selecting Email adresses in kmail (the three dots ... at the right hand site of the "to" and "copy" field, in a manner that I dont see the ok and the cancel button any more. I can change the window's size with the mouse as I want, but I never see the "ok" and "cancel" button again. They remain below the lower border of the window? Has anypne an idea, how I can get rid of the problem? I am running SuSE Professional 9.2 with it's KDE. Alexander
Hi Alexander, at least you could move the window with your mouse, if you hold down the ALT key and the left mouse button. That way you can make the missing buttons visible. However, I can't help you to get rid of the unwanted setting. Regards NIls -- Don't Panic

It's a resizable window. Once an edge is visible (using ALT+drag, as you say), it can be dragged to resize the window.

First of all: I am sorry for my late response; I've just been able to try these hints yesterday. Okay, the workaround with ALT key and the left mouse button works!

That might work, if I would know what "drag" means? I am using "german latin1 without deadkeys" as keyboard. So please can you tell me, how I can achieve "ALT+drag"? Regards Alexander

Move the mouse while holding the ALT key down.
To be more precise: Hold down ALT, depress the mouse button somewhere over the window in question and move the mouse. The window position will follow the mouse movement. The mouse cursor will change to a four-headed arrow when the mouse button is depressed.

You never tried this hint yourself, didn't you? I appreciate all you helping hands here on the list, but things which are that obviously senseless are too low quality.... We need all think some more seconds before clicking the send button... Often me, too, of course. Best, Daniel Am Freitag, 9. Dezember 2005 18:22 schrieb Roberto Pineda:

Once the window is sized as you want, you can always: 1. Right-click on the titlebar 2. Select Advanced 3. Special Window Settings and click the options to remember the window geometry. This is just a hack, but should work good enough for now? Alvin -- Please reply to the mailing list.
