Ever since I went to KDE 3.2.1 on my SuSE 8.1-box I lost the possibility to install rpm's with YAST via konqueror. Does anyone know what I need to do to get it back? Try Konqueror->Settings->Configure Konqueror->File Associations and edit the rpm file association (search for 'rpm'), select the Embedded pan and "Show file in embedded viewer". Cheers, Robert. On Friday 19 March 2004 18:19, Meije Oppenhuizen wrote:

Sorry, but that doesn't work. Are there any other options? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ | Meije Oppenhuizen | Non-smoker since 3 years, 6 months, | | Utrecht, Netherlands | 27 days, 2 hours and 25 minutes | ------------------------------------------------------------------

--snip-snip-- This may have already been mentioned, but to restore this function on 8.2, I needed to install the kde3base-SuSE rpm for 8.2. This added krpmview to Konq. The aforementioned rpm raises hell with apt but that is another story; I have learned to deal with it. The question is does a similar rpm provide the same functions for 8.1? -- Willard E. If one gets the source rpm and rebuilds that file (if possible), then that would silence apt. If not, then try rip out the parts that raise problems. Cheers, Leen
