[opensuse-kde] Support for Firefox button
Hi there, recent releases of Mozilla Firefox have a nice, big orange button under MS Windows. The button is nicely integrated into the window decoration. Why don´t we have this with Linux / KDE window decorations? Can´t the KDE window decorations be expanded with the Firefox button? I think that would be a cool feature and give us that cool look under Linux / KDE too. It's quite easy to get it working: http://paste.opensuse.org/48230247 Instructions on how to set it up are in http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Oxygen+KDE+%28Firefox+Theme%29?content=... Ummmm....what is this "nice, big orange button" supposed to do? What magical, amazing and dazzling effects does it have on a normal human being? If you try, you are able to remove the menu bar, and then everything get bundle in that button. -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member & Ambassador GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Oh no! Please not! I was so damn lucky to *not* get this button with Firefox 4 in openSUSE 11.4. Don´t get me wrong, the button isn´t bad at all, but I like the old UI more then the new. And quite frankly, the old design is still accepted by the majority of users. I think, if _only_ you wan this design, please change it on your own, and why it just should become standard on KDE? Think of the GNOME part too. If only you want to have, do like I told ya. *If* anyone else want to have it the Windows-way please speak up! I think, if there´s a big crowd of people who want a change, there ways to do it, okay? thanks -- send from my notebook ***************** Linux is userfriendly. thanks Getting that button to be Orange is quite a pain. But it is happy to be there matching the theme if you just unselect the box for menu bar. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

ROFL! Relax. I am using Firefox #9 and it has no such "orange button" - which is why I asked what the heck it was about :-) . BC -- Bob Hope's wife: "Where would like to be buried when you die?" What is Firefox #9? Do you mean Aurora (Firefox 8.0-beta2) or Firefox 7.0 Beta or what do you mean? :-D BTW, do you still wanted to know what the orange button is? confused, -- -o) Kim Leyendecker /\\ openSUSE Ambassador, openSUSE Wiki Team DE _\_v http://www.opensuse.org - Linux for open minds -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

confused, I didn't try the long complicated mod to get the Win7 like jumbo pumpkin chiclet. I did, however toggle the menu bar off (which I hadn't even though to do) and found i like it better. I find it less cluttered, and it gives me more screen space. I think having that as default install would be fine... all

Hm, maybe you should write a wiki article if you know a way, so that other people will have an anchor and use your way. thanks, Its easy as pie... there is a toggle button. But, doing a full wiki article to document it is a good idea. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
