Hi! I am in the process of setting up a network based on SuSe Linux. I installed Ver. 8.1 and everything was fine. I then installed an NFS server along with NIS (my box being NIS server and an NFS client). And now I have problems logging in. When KDE starts up I get an error message, saying that I should check my DCOPserver, and whether it is running. I have already tried: replacing any .kdeX files in my $HOME -to no avail. I have seen people with similar probs on the this list, but have not found a published solution. Am desperate. HELP. until soon, hopefully. Jakob ____________________________________ Dr. Jakob J. It can be cause by broken data (sycoca database). Does it help to remove /tmp/kde-$USER ? bye adrian ********************************************************************** Adrian Schroeter SuSE AG, Deutschherrnstr. 15-19, 90429 Nuernberg, Germany email: adrian@suse.de (446 mails already received today.)
