[opensuse-kde] pending eric et.al. submit requests
Hi Will, Steve, Dirk, Stephan and Lubos, I'm sure, you received the sr from me concerning eric. home:frispete:branches:KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop/eric A full featured eric depends one these packages: python-enchant python-pylint python-logilab-astng python-logilab-common python-pysvn python-qscintilla python-qt4{,-devel} python-sip{,-devel} python-rope where python-sip and python-logilab-astng contain a fix that allow pylinting PyQt projects. The python-sip fix is from Phil Thompson himself (backported by me), and the python-logilab-astng patch is acked by Sylvain Thénault. The only other intervention was the renaming of pylint to python-pylint. By now, eric carries explicite dependencies on certain versions of these packages in order to ease the life of actual users of this package. Since the time is running out, and I would like to get these into 11.2. Could you give me an advise, what can be done from my side, that all dependant packages gets into - right in time? I don't understand the "versions of both packages are not strictly needed, but we want to pull the supplied packages" - if it's not needed leave them out and the KDE:Backports build will install on older distros too. Or do you want to say that these packages are not needed themselves but only their dependencies? Then only add the separate depencies please... And in "both requirements are not strictly needed, but we want to pull the supplied packages" cases usually "Recommends:" is used.

Packaging fixes can be done until RC phase at least. Today is only version/ late feature/string freeze followed by crypto freeze on Monday. :-) Bye, Steve -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

What I want and other requested is, that if that eric is installed/updated, then all the packages below should be installed/updated as well.

Does zypper pull Recommends packages, when package eric is installed/updated?
