Hy, im using suse 8.0. Ive upgradet to kde 3.0.4 using rpm -F * and after that SuSEconfig of course. But now KDE wont start automatically. After login (graphical login) X-Ser= ver=20 is running with a console window. Now Windowmanager. When i enter "kde" into the terminal, kde launches and everything works f= ine. Any ideas what i can do to make kde starting automatically again ?! last lines of $HOME/.xinitrc: # # Add your own lines here... # /usr/lib/java/bin/java -classpath=20 /home/baldur/storage/data/projekte/castpopup/class Popupclient.StartMyPop= up &=20 # day planer deamon # pland & # # finally start the window manager # exec $WINDOWMANAGER kbiff --profile default & # call failsafe exit 0 but this worked with kde 3.0.3 fine !
