Lacking response I thought I'd try my luck building it myself - my first package in the build service. I'm having some trouble with the meta-stuff though, in particular the categories in the desktop files. Am I right in thinking that it requires an X- entry? That Utilities;Network; isn't enough? Because the only desktop file I didn't get a fatal error on was one with X-KDE-Utilities-PIM; in Which script is it exactly that does that post-build check of desktop files? Well, there seems to be something wrong with that rpmlint thing. Unless I'm totally blind, it rejects perfectly valid Category entries But I finally made it build without any warnings or errors. Now to test it Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

For those keeping score at home, I am now running my own build of kmail2, and so far it seems to be working well. The problems I had during the failed launch that had to be pulled, have been fixed. So far, the only problem I've seen is that it's very slow when changing folders Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Anders, Does it give you a proper address bppk? With all of it's different categories of email addresses such as distribution lists, business, friends, family etc.? Bob S -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I'm not a big user of address books, so I'm not really sure. I can create a "group" of email addresses, which I guess is like a distribution list. I've done that here, which is why you should be getting this email twice, I created a group called test, with you and opensuse-kde in it. Ideally you won't see that, it will get translated into both addresses - I guess I'll soon find out As for the categories, I can tag email addresses, and create new tags with any name. In the "new contact" dialog I can also select business info and personal info. But I hardly ever used the address book in the previous versions, so I can't really tell how it is compared with them Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

You can find it in thekde:unstable:sc/kdepim46 repo, though I have no clue if there are plans to merge the packages into any of the other repos with KDE 4.6. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Can you enabled building for KDE:Unstable:SC? I am use 4.7, but want to test out the stable pim version so I can check if some bugs are fixed and if not, report them. -Todd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

There should be very little difference between pim4.6 and pim4.7 - mostly only bugfixing. And since kdepim 4.7 will be the version shipped with KDE SC 4.7 and openSUSE 12.1, whereas kdepim 4.6 probably won't be shipped with anything, anywhere officially, it makes a lot more sense to test and report issues with pim 4.7 imho. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Considering that SC 4.7 will come out in RC form later this month, I'd say wait for that and switch completely. I switch to the RCs since 4.2 or so and never had any major problems. Localization is less complete but that's it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
