Hi, Is it just my imagination, or did the panel clock prior to the KDE 3.4.1 upate display the date (when you select the "Date" check-box in the clock configuration dialog? In any event, it does not now do so for me. I've tried lots of changing of the options and every one appears to have the intended effect except for the Date option, which changes nothing when enabled or disabled. I use the "Digital Clock" setting with custom colors. Is my memory of this detail faulty? Was there never a calendar date displayed in the panel clock? If there was, has anybody else lost it in the update to KDE 3.4.1? Thanks. Randall Schulz

Is it a preference other than the one I explicitly mentioned having set (and unset and set again) with no effect?

I've had flakines with the panel clock before after updates. It would revert to the default (no dates). I didn't have that problem with 3.4.1. Try choosing Configure Clock->Appearance->Display->Date. Then remove the clock applet from the panel and put it back again. This would pick up the change for me before. Brana

Thanks. Removing and adding it back fixed the problem. Although all my customizations were lost and had to be recreated.

No problem. This annoyed me a lot before since I also add a lot of customization to the clock. For some reason after this last (3.4.1) upgrade I didn't have this problem. Brana
