To set the background image for all virtual desktops in one Activity, just right click on the desktop somewhere. Use the context menu and select your background image. C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

This means once fro each virtual desktop. With kcontrol it was possible to select a backgroudn picture for all desktops at once, with one single picture selection. This is, what I would like to have. Err...?? But, you DO have this in KDE4. I am assuming you're using KDE4.6 in openSUSE 11.4 since you did not state anything about what version of openSUSE or KDE you are using. Note that I said "for all virtual desktops in *ONE* Activity" (with extra emphasis on one). If you are looking at a default 11.4/KDE4 installation you will have a single Activity with 4 virtual desktops. If you right click on any one of the 4 virtual desktops and use the context menu to set the background image, the same image will be applied to all 4 virtual desktops. If you define a second Activity, you can have multiple virtual desktops in the second Activity and they can have a different background image from the first Activity. If you do not have a default configuration, or have defined multiple Activities (which are not the same thing as virtual desktops) then you need to be a lot more clear and explicit in your question. The default behaviour is the same wallpaper on all virtual desktops. You must be using different activities on each virtual desktop to have this "problem"... which is something kde3 couldn't do. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
