RE: [suse-kde] Problem with fonts / Anti-Aliasing
I am struggling with these settings on my X31 which has a 12.1" lcd. I noticed that if I enter in the exact dimensions (as measured with a ruler) of the lcd, most of the kde dialog boxes need to be dragged larger in order to see the text/buttons within. I ended up putting in the size of a 15" lcd and it looks perfect (can't recall the size off the top of my head) Anyway, the only side effect is it made all of the fonts extremely tiny. I suppose I could just use a larger font size? Would you recommend your suggested settings below for any size lcd? --Thanks!
Add DisplaySize 420 315 in your X configuration file (typically XF86Config-4)

What I have found in my experience is that one should ignore the physical dimension of the monitor (I know that was not not intended with DisplaySize). DisplaySize parameter should be dependent on the resolution - so if you have 1600x1200 resolution the size should be 420x315. For other resolutions, just change 420x315 in a proportional manner. Osho
