[opensuse-kde] Leap, Plasma 5 - is zeroconf supported ?

HI guys, is zeroconf supported in Plasma 5 ? For dolphin, zeroconf:/ -> Invalid Protocol. With os 13,2 and Kde4, under network:/ there is a "Network Services" entry for zeroconf. No "Network Services" in Leap/Plasma5. Thanks. Daniele. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

I'm not familiar with which libraries provide mDNS/Avahi/ZeroConf support. Depending on which, there are several scenarios on why you see the issue: 1. They haven't been ported to KF5 yet 2. The package lacks the build dependencies and they're not built 3. The functionality was dropped (extremely unlikely) My guess is towards 1, after a quick check on the OBS. But as I've never used ZeroConf from Plasma, I'm not 100% sure. -- Luca Beltrame - KDE Forums team KDE Science supporter GPG key ID: A29D259B

kdnssd/zeroconf-ioslave is still kdelibs4-based -> won't work with dolphin 15.08 -> will work with konqueror any released version. This will also be valid with 15.12 as no-one ported the code to KF5/Qt5. Cheers, Hrvoje

There is a "frameworks" branch, but I have no idea if it works. If anyone knows how to test it, it would help deciding if the the port is ready to get released. -- Christoph Feck https://kdepepo.wordpress.com/ KDE Quality Team -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
