HI I have recently installed suse 9 and am having some communication problems. Using kinternet and kmail I have no problem with internet access, kmail does the right things with outgoing mail, and saves it in 'sent mail'. Occasionally incoming mail arrives via the 'inbox' in kmail as it should but most incoming mail arrives in [ /var/spool/mail/(user)] accompanied by vast amounts of communications code making it difficult to extract actual messages. When requesting incoming mail via kmail the status bar says 'No new messages' but I still find messages in the /var/spool/mail file. I have jiggled with YAST and Kmail configuration but to no avail. What can I do to discipline the software, or myself if that is where the error lies? Hoping that someone can restore my sanity please. Ian
