Trouble is, it seems that it's necessary to specify the user agent individually for each website where it matters. There's no way I can find to say that Konqueror should by default identify itself as, say, IE5.5. Is there some way of doing that that I've missed? Is the behavior in version 3 any better?

I haven't yet found a way to overcome using konqueror as the default setting. I'm currently using KDE 3.0 and the behavior mimics KDE 2.2. The only redeeming thing about it is that when I am forced to change the id - it works! Ken
