[opensuse-kde] Hidden SSID / Wireless Network
Is there away to get kde4-networkmanager to be able to connect to hidden wireless networks ? On my laptop (dell 1505 with iwl3945 wireless card) kde4-networkmanager connects fine to non-hidden wireless and wired networks. For whatever reasons hidden wireless network(s) never show up in the kde4-networkmanager wireless list A iwlist wlan0 scan shows, the hidden network have been discovered. I can use kde3-networkmanager and it finds and connects to hidden networks just fine. I've tried various suggestions I've found in forums and list(s) but none work. Overheard in IRC earlier today: [13:18] * wstephenson is fixing wep40 passphrase auth and hidden essids today So I guess it's a known problem. I am still working on it. And WEP40 passphrase auth has been removed since every manufacturer uses their own passphrase to key scheme. See https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=186951 . Will
