konqueror display a local file instead of the original target

When I click on a URL to be opened by konqueror (for example in the body of a e-mail), it seems to download the original target to the local directory '/root/.kde/share/apps/kfmexec/tmp/' and then it displays from here. In fact this is what I can see on the 'Location bar': file:/root/.kde/share/apps/kfmexec/tmp/30092.0 instead of http://www.google.it. Does someone know how to modify this strange behaviour? Thank you in advance. Fabio De Francesco.

I believe it's because of Klipper. It acted like this in 8.1, too. Turn off Klipper and then whatever browser you have designated as associated for .htm/.html files (in Control Center, File Associations) should open the link instead. I have tried to turn off klipper but the behaviour doesn't change: konqueror continues to open the html pages from the /home directory like file:/root/.kde/share/apps/kfmexec/tmp/30092.0 instead of http://www.google.it. Fabio. On Friday 16 May 2003 21:04, Marian Routh wrote:
