[opensuse-kde] Program to view pcd files
I have a bunch of old cds with pcd files on them. What can I use to view them in KDE or otherwise for that matter? -- Bob Rea mailto:gapetard@stsams.org http://www.petard.us http://www.petard.us/blog http://www.petard.us/gallery Freedom is only privilege extended unless enjoyed by one and all --Billy Bragg --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Hi Bob, A quick Google reveals these are Kodak Photo CD files (I knew this once, but had forgotten.) from 'man ImageMagick': "ImageMagick supports many image formats (over 90 major formats) including popular formats like TIFF, JPEG, PNG, PDF, PhotoCD, and GIF." Google also pulled up this interesting document: "A Guide to Digital Image Formats" at: http://www.yale.edu/yaleav/photography/Guide.pdf and this (apparently Debian oriented) page: http://www.dsl.org/cookbook/cookbook_24.html hth & regards, Carl --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
