[opensuse-kde] Where is the patch for oversized fonts in systray's calender
Hello all, Does anyone know when the systray's calender patch will be available? As of now the fonts size are still oversized and the dyas of the week are running into each other in openSUSE 12.1. Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Howdy, I have the same issue. It hasn't been high enough on my priority list to chase down but now that you mention it ... :) ... What's the fix? I don't have any pending updates and the fonts are still off. Try resizing the window horizontally and then shrink it slowly. Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Might work for you, but it would be pretty sucky for a 133 DPI user, and terrible for a 200 DPI user. Someone who isn't using a display that is in fact near 96 DPI at a minimum should never be given such advice. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Why was the calendar plasmoid working in openSUSE 11.4 but not in 12.1? The guys at bugs.kde.org have marked it fixed and resolved. Refer to: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277433 However, I'm running 4.7.4 "release 11" and it's still broken. I'll be logging in to bugzilla to submit a bug report. Please post the bug number (or link) and I'll submit an attachment as well. Forcing DPI to 96 didn't work for me. Cheers,
Okay. I will notify you this afternoon. I've observed in openSUSE 11.4 that the calendar only appeared in a single window. This shows the correct format. In openSUSE 12.1 the window was split in two halves. The calendar is on the left and holidays appear on the right side. However, upon closer inspection - less real estate has been assigned to the calendar and more to the holidays. This is the cause of the problem. Any thoughts. Hi Roman, Great job! I've added myself to the CC. This may be an upstream bug. We'll see. Hey Paul, I'm a little upset that I didn't submit this when I first installed 12.1 the day it was released. We could have caught this for 4.7.4 upstream. Apparently, https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277433 has been closed. KDE 4.7.8 should be out in January 2012. -- Cheers!
