[opensuse-kde] KMail: Removing addresses from "contacts found in your data"
When composing a new message in KMail, the "To" field can be retrieved from either the Address Book OR "Contacts found in your data". Is there a way to delete addresses from the "Contacts found in your data"? I am constantly getting addresses appearing which are years old and obsolete, which is annoying and slows me down. Hi Dennis, these kind of contacts are provided from nepomuk (database). Possible ways would be to: a) run nepomukcleaner if those contacts are nowhere referenced in your mails b) delete those references and do a) ;-) c) turn off nepomuk (completion) - completion from nepomuk can be turned off, but iirc then the akonadi based one won't work. Only way is to disable nepomuk , if you need autocomplete. If you'll use nepomukcleaner (recommended anyway) just note that it can take quite some time while it finishes - depending on db size. Cheers, Hrvoje

I've tried those several times and since 4.10 or 4.11 it's becoming stupid. I want to see the last 32 emails as setup in recent, and have my contacts first There's still improvements to be done in 2014's pim hackfest. Now perhaps, and I hope those get fixed in 4.12 -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot

What about Settings --> Configure KMail --> Composer --> Check "Use recent addresses for autocompletion" Grtz, Erwin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
