KMail - what year is it?
I've got SuSE 8.0, KDE 3.0.5 and KMail 1.4.3. I've been noticing the occasional e-mail that arrives with a date of 1969-12-31 and similar. I had been assuming that it was just the sender's e-mail app, or their outgoing mail server being misconfigured. However, I just got a message from my boss with the 1969 date. If I had left my inbox sorting in 'by Date' mode, I would never have seen that message. The boss is using Microsoft Outlook, but that in itself is not usually a problem. Also, she is writing from the same network, and through the same company mail server that I'm using. Ignoring messages from one's manager is not considered a career-enhancing move... :-) I just checked the rest of my inbox and have found *no* other messages from my boss or from anybody else in our company (all Outlook) with the problem, but I *do* see several automatic advertising messages (used to support the no-fee status of one of the other mailing lists to which I'm subscribed). That one has had 1969 addresses all this month. The associated mailing list, however does not have any date problem. I'm quite certain that my boss did not send her message in 1969. What's going on? /kevin

I think the "Date" header in the email is not recognized. Select Menubar -> View -> View all headers, and look at the "Date" header. Could you please Cut&Paste that whole line containing the "Date" header in your reply so we can have a look? Cheers, Leen
