Will KDE 4.5 have a panel calendar like gnome? [Add events/memo, multiple holidays, multiple time zones] I would rather click on the panel date/time to get all my info instead of opening applications from the menu. --Bill

No, there is nothing really like that yet. I am not that familiar with kommander or Qt Quick (which will be in Qt 4.7), but Qt Quick might be able to do something similar to kommander. Perhaps someone more familiar with both could say.
