Hello SuSE KDE people. Several week ago I upgraded my KDE to 3.5.3 on my SuSE 10.0 desktop. Ever since then when the screensaver kicks in I get this weird white screensaver which keeps adding little black squiggly lines. Really ugly. I want to get rid of it. I go into Control Center > Appearance > Screen Saver and set my favorite, test it, and apply it. For the rest of that session my chosen screen saver will come up. When I shut down for the night I save my session. Next time I boot up I get the same weird screen saver back again. Very frustrating and aggravating. Can someone tell me where to go and what config file to change to stop this behavior? Bob S.

Sorry for the late reply. No, that is not the problem. I tried that again after that suggestion. I can reset it for the session but if I log in and out of X the ugly one comes back again. Anyone know where the config file for the screensaver may be? Maybe I can change it by hand. Bob S.

Which one is it. You can delete it. BTW others have had wierd stuff with kde 3.5.3. in Gnome backup dot kde and delete the original. Log out and back in with kde. return with results. CWSIV

Hi Carl, Wish I knew. Must have spent over an hour looking at all of the screensavers I could find and could not locate it. Don't understand your "Gnome backup dot kde" statement. I run kde. In the Control Center screensaver menu my favorite is shown to be the working one, but alas it is not. Thanks for replying. Bob S.
