hi, I have a problem with kopete 0.8.3. since I have upgraded from the last version, I can not connect to my icq. I try to connect, but at the moment kopete connect me, I get disconnected. I don't know where the problem is, because before I upgraded everything was ok. I run kopete under SUSE 9.1 KDE 3.2.3 thanks for help! alex

There was a bug mentioned in another mail this morning I read. Sorry, I don't remember the reference email, but they are aware of it. Odd thing and maybe it was fixed recently, is that I am connected to ICQ right now in Kopete. I do not have the problem with ICQ (that works fine) but I do have the problem with yahoo. One day it was working fine and the next it could not log in. Have tried changing password but no luck. Andrew On Friday 09 July 2004 16:57, BandiPat wrote:

Yep, you can blame that one on Yahoo! They keep changing things like retards to keep these all in one clients out. They want you to use their program. Why? Who knows, maybe it's a better way of tracking the users of their services. That's why many are converting to Jabber, it's free, it's better and you never get hassled with such things. Tell your friends to move with you. ;o) Lee -- --- KMail v1.6.2 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.1 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...
Already have a jabber account and my own jabber server. Kopete works OK with it but does not work correctly with mu-conference rooms. A little off topic I know so please don't burn me alive :-|) On Friday 09 July 2004 20:22, BandiPat wrote:

even more OT... want a decent jabber client? use psi. works nice in kde, and its a native jabber. I have made rpm packages for suse 9.1, if anyone's interested. bye, MH
There was a bug mentioned in another mail this morning I read. Sorry, I don't remember the reference email, but they are aware of it. Odd thing and maybe it was fixed recently, is that I am connected to ICQ right now in Kopete.

Same here. The only thing I've seen is that it doesn't remember my password every now and then.... (for ICQ). You might want to try launching from console to see error messages and post B-)
