Hi, my keyboard layout is behaving a little strange. I use English(US) as my default layout but each time i boot the system it loads a different layout. I think it is German or something like that because it has the -umlauds if i say it correctly-. Anyway, if i run yast and select keyboard layout, i see that English(US) is checked and if i press Accept then my layout is ok. What can cause this because it wasn't always like this. Is there a config file? Thanks!

You might want to either manually set this by editing XF86Config or running sax2 from init 3! Setting things through YaST2 sometimes doesn't behave well, as you are experiencing. Section "InputDevice" Driver "Keyboard" Identifier "Keyboard[0]" Option "Protocol" "Standard" Option "XkbLayout" "us" Option "XkbModel" "pc104" Option "XkbRules" "xfree86" EndSection That is from my /etc/X11/XF86Config file, which should also be the same for your setup. I opened my XF86Config file and it is exactly the same. Thanks anyway! Any other ideas? BandiPat wrote:

Perhaps you should have a look at KDE's configurationcenter->Region and accessability-> keybord and select all keyboards you need! Henk
Thanks a lot! I did the same thing in KDE's configuration center and now it works! Ioannidis Henk A.M. Weebers wrote:
