[opensuse-kde] Building nepomuk-core on openSUSE 12.3
I have been trying to build nepomuk-core on 12.3 -- The following REQUIRED packages have not been found: * SharedDesktopOntologies (required version >= 0.10.51) , Shared Desktop Ontologies , <http://oscaf.sourceforge.net> Ontologies necessary for the Nepomuk semantic desktop * Soprano (required version >= 2.9.3) , Qt-based RDF storage and parsing solution , <http://soprano.sourceforge.net> Required for everything (storage and general data management) I have already downloaded the source code of soprano and it is succcessfully building On giving make install for soprano I get the following output http://susepaste.org/82043130 Now when I try to build nepomuk-core again, it should not give the same error as soprano is already there ( I dont understand why ) On trying to build SharedDesktopOntologies I get the following error -- Could NOT find DocBook XSL-NS stylesheets (missing: DOCBOOKXSLNS_DIR) -- Configuring done -- Generating done -- Build files have been written to: /home/manugupt1/nepomuk/shared-desktop-ontologies zypper se docbook gives me the following result : i | docbook-css-stylesheets | DocBook CSS Stylesheets | package i | docbook-dsssl-stylesheets | DSSSL Stylesheets for the DocBook DTD | package | docbook-simple | Simple DocBook DTD and Documentation | package | docbook-tdg | DocBook: The Definitive Guide | package | docbook-toys | DocBook Tools | package | docbook-utils | Small Wrapper Scripts for Processing DocBook Files | package | docbook-utils-minimal | Small Wrapper Scripts for Processing DocBook Files | package | docbook-xml-slides | DocBook XML Slides | package | docbook-xml-website | DTD and Stylesheets for Web Site Development | package i | docbook-xsl-stylesheets | XSL Stylesheets for DocBook 4 | package | docbook-xsl-stylesheets | XSL Stylesheets for DocBook 4 | srcpackage | docbook2x | DocBook-to-Texinfo Converter | package | docbook2x-doc | DocBook-to-Texinfo Converter | package i | docbook5-xsl-stylesheets | XSL Stylesheets for DocBook 5 | package | docbook5-xsl-stylesheets | XSL Stylesheets for DocBook 5 | srcpackage i | docbook_3 | DocBook DTD 3.x | package i | docbook_4 | DocBook DTD Version 4.x | package i | docbook_5 | DocBook Schemas (DTD, RELAX NG, W3C Schema) for Version 5.x | package Please help me as to how should I proceed further and where am I going wrong -- Regards Manu Gupta -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Which version of soprano? You need: a) 2.9.3 tarball - released last night b) soprano from master git branch c) soprano from 2.9 git branch If you already have one of those, try clearing nepomuk-core build dir

That's fine, you should be able to install s-d-o without it.

Please help me as to how should I proceed further and where am I going wrong P.S. If you're using x86_64 install i suggest adding -DLIB_SUFFIX=64 to cmake line, as othewise you'll be welcomed by non-functional soprano/nepomuk-core.
