[opensuse-kde] broken selections in kate, kwrite, quanta and perhaps more
I am running the latest kde packages from the build server as of march 8th. not sure which package is responsible, but in kate, kwrite, quanta, and perhaps others, selections are not behaving as they should. this can be seen by opening a text file, clicking anywhere in the file then holding shift and clicking anywhere else. also when you double/triple click before, after, or in a space of a line of text, it jumps to the start of the file instead of selecting the line. i just talked with the kdedevs and they seem to think its a problem with the suse packages OR the issue has already been fixed in the svn because they could not reproduce the bug Yaloki also tested this and saw the same behavior -- keep up the good work, Jacob Caudill Jake@SupportOSS.org www.SpinInk.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

It seems we hit a bad KDE SVN snapshot with the last kdelibs3 update, updating again seems to make the problem go away again. Build service is now building. Thanks for the note Steve, However, I am still having this problem and I have updated several machines to the 3/9 packages that you mentioned. the issue is still occurring. As someone that spends most of their day working with quanta, this is a rather frustrating bug. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help get this fixed. -- Jacob Caudill Jake@SupportOSS.org www.SpinInk.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Steve, I misread the date on your previous post and thought I had the newest packages. I even checked the buildserver and the packages were 3/9. After sending my last post, I checked a different build server mirror and saw the latest packages there dated 3/12 and 3/13, I updated to those packages and they have indeed fixed the issue. So thank you for your time and please disregard my earlier message. -- keep up the great work!
