[opensuse-kde] KDE4.8 and webdav in Dolphin

I've setup and have been using OwnCloud since installing openSUSE 12.1. Today I decided I wasted to set up a WebDav link in Dolphin. This is documented here: http://owncloud.org/support/webdav/ but is applicable to an older version of KDE/Dolphin I've added the WebDav link to the "Places area (Right-click, Add entry), but.. there seems to be no way I can save my login credentials.. so every time I want to use the WebDav link, I have to enter my credentials (not just on opening the view in Dolphin, but on every single read/write action as well). Is there something I'm missing? Or... The end result is I want to sync my entire /home to my OwnCloud server.. but getting there is proving to be interesting. Any tips or direction here? Using Mirall or via dolphin's webdav client? I haven't tried either yet, but if kio_http is not caching credentials for webdav actions, that's a bug. I've been using Dolphin's WebDav client. It's possible that I'm not setting up the WebDav connection correctly. The "old" documentation (also the way I "knew" how to do it) says to "Add a Network Folder", but.... I can't see a way explicitly specify it's a Network folder in KDE4.8. The "Add entry" works, in that I can type in webdav://URL in the Add dialog and connect... but in this case, every action requires authentication, and there (appears) to be no way to save credentials. I haven't tried with Mirall. C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
