hi all. I have recently installed KDE 3.1-alpha binaries from ftp.kde.org, onto my SuSE 8.0 and i found this configuration pretty usable. the only issue about it was, that i had to fix startkde -- i had to remove "--restore" option in "kwrapper ksmserver" command. i even found it kinda faster and using bit lesser memory :-) i have one question: will there be some kind of 'weekly fixed builds' available for testing? compiling it from the source takes a HUGE ammount of time and hard-drive space. :-)

dunno what you mean with fixed, but there are sometimes builds at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/adrian/ but of course highly un-fixed ;) bye adrian ********************************************************************** Adrian Schroeter SuSE AG, Deutschherrnstr. 15-19, 90429 Nuernberg, Germany email: adrian@suse.de (301 mails already received today.)
