[opensuse-kde] Rationale behind libqt5-qtbase
I was surprized to not seen 5.6.2 still in TW (5.6.1 just coming today). I'm an unfortunate owner of skydale laptop (on which I only use nvidia blob). I'm also using multi-screen both are hidpi, and of course have different DPI but same size.... Few weeks ago, I was using K:Unstable and see a good improvement in qt 5.6.2 (almost stable without any crashes, even those nobody cares because they are trapped by the systemd/coredump) Try coredumpctl --no-pager to understand what I mean :-) So backtracing from where come libqt5-qtbase in Factory, and point to https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/KDE:Qt5/libqt5-qtbase Which start to integrate 5.7 actually. I would like to know if 5.6.2 will have a chance to finish in TW ? Perhaps it is already coming, and I was not able to retrieve its SR Thanks for the packages, and work done on maintenance, and your invaluable support. -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch Bareos Partner, openSUSE Member, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

5.6.1 arrived a while back, yesterday there was only a new sr accepted with a few patches regarding drag'n'drop.

5.6.2 exists only in git where Qt devs bumped the version in their 5.6 branch. That's why you had 5.6.2 with KUF, as we used 5.6 branch for those packages. 5.7 though will be submitted ASAP once i package all the new modules. This should be this week.
Thanks for the packages, and work done on maintenance, and your invaluable support.

Ok then it make sense, and the why I didn't find it elsewhere :-)

Then I will try to keep me on Stable pure OSS and wait a bit, I need my env everyday up and running, even in summer, I still have work that has to be done. I hope you will not get too much trouble with 5.7 packaging.

Again thank for the work done, it's fantastic. -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch Bareos Partner, openSUSE Member, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
