[opensuse-kde] KDE 4.3 Themeing and openSUSE 11.2
Greetings, I propose we do the following for our Themeing in KDE 4.3 / openSUSE 11.2 AlbertoP, bittin, and others are on board.. I suggest we use pinheiro's suggestion here http://pinheiro-kde.blogspot.com/2009/04/2-wallpaers.html and have him create the green wallpaper in geeko colors. We can then use the KDE 4.3 default Air theme with this wallpaper which would be a nice touch. Lets get away from the Dark Panel and go with the Air suttle white/transparent Panel. Very Nice. Thoughts?? -Cameron -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I'm not sure we're "allowed" to have different wallpapers for different desktops - or whether that would be desirable. I'm also not sure pinheiro is interested in doing distro artwork for free, and infringing on jimmac's territory might be unfortunate.

So far we've used Aya by default, which isn't so dark. I tend to favour the Air theme over Aya too though. But personally I'd rather wait a bit until it's officially "finished" before deciding anything conclusive. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
If you look at old meetings regarding themes such as here: http://en.opensuse.org/KDE/Meetings/2008_02_27-transcript you can get a general idea for what to expect when talking themes. As for art; jimmac is the man. In the past he had no plans for a plasma theme but that could be discussed again, I'm sure. There will be a session on theme discussion during community week as well. http://en.opensuse.org/CommunityWeek Personally, I feel there are many more important things than themes to discuss. I also understand a lot of people take this topic seriously. That's why it's at Community Week.
