[opensuse-kde] kmail 4.10 problem after reboot
The problem that I have with kmail is that after a reboot no emails are downloaded from my pop providers. Sending email also does not work. In order to get kmail functioning as expected I have to logout and login. After this kmail works. Have no idea what is not functioning. Where do I start looking for the source of my problem? The kmail version is 4.10.0-380.3. -- Linux User 183145 using KDE4 on a Pentium IV , powered by openSUSE 12.2 (i586) Kernel: 3.4.28-2.20-default KDE Development Platform: 4.10.00 "release 550" 11:33am up 0:13, 3 users, load average: 1.28, 3.91, 2.96 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Sounds like the underlying Akonadi framework doesn't start for some reason on first login. You can (re)start it manually without logging out. Run 'akoandictl restart' in konsole. Which might also give some pointers what is wrong if it fails to start. For more advanced debugging tools, look at 'akonadiconsole'. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Started with akonadictl restart and got following information. as debugging is not something I master only looked into akonadiconsole. Only started the Nepomuk servis but that did not solve anything. Assume that it is the deprecated signal, whatever that maybe :) But now what? Try disabling the Mail Indexer in System Settings / Desktop Settings. That one can cause problems for some. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
