Does anyone know where Kmail stores all the addresses that it uses for auto completing e-mail addresses? I thought that it was in kmailrc but deleting addresses from there doesn't make any difference. Have tried grepping all the files in .kde looking for offending address but to no avail. TIA, Jethro

I have stored all my e-mail addresses in the KAddressbook and, in my case, KMail uses the addresses from KAddressbook for the auto completion. So I would have a look at KAddressbook in your case, too. :-) Best wishes Lutz
Original Problem: Couldn't remove an e-mail address that wasn't in the address book from the autocomplete. Found entryin kmailrc using grep. Tried deleting the entry from kmailrc. Didn't work. Everytime I restarted kmail the address was still there. Final solution: Logged out of KDE and then edited kmailrc and deleted *all* the entries from the 'Recent Addresses' field. Then saved the file and restarted KDE. Bingo the address is gone. Regards, Jetrho On Tuesday 14 January 2003 11:22, Jethro Cramp wrote:

Congratulations! I'll remember your tactic - leaving KDE if changing a config doesn't work when it should. I love KMail, but this behaviour surprises me a bit (I tried to put it nice ;-) ). Cheers, Leen
