you have to improve the verboseness of your bugreports a little. what is the backtrace of the close-crash?
Also the right-mouse menus in dolphin and konqueror are rather thin.
And you dislike thin menus? I think you're trying to say that you're missing some option. Which option is it?
It is not ready to work with,
What blocks you from working with it? no debugging symbols found...

Well, normal unpacking of tar.gz files, fi. You know yourself what is not there.. ;-)

Easy solution, do not use unreleased software if you are not willing to live with the consequences. Wait until KDE 4.1 and use it with a fresh user. If you want to work, use KDE 3.5.x Sven --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I was just answering a question, but you certainly have a way to motivate people ;-)

Of course I do, but to help with bug-reports and alike rather than just making statements that do not help anyone. The latter is supposed to go on a blog. A mailinglist is not an IRC either, so you might want to check out #opensuse-kde rather than mailing this to everyone. This might not be a bad idea afterall.. Excuse me, i am just suffering from rc4 kernel in 11.0, and trying to get a rc3 to install. This might get the os on track again for me.. - -- Have a nice day, M9. Now, is the only time that exists. I did, but they had to get uninstalled to fullfill deps, today using it to check if things would work better on kde4 with the rc4 kernel, than in kde3. That is how i fond that the gstreamer engine in amarok did not suffer from the crash, and that the fluendo mp3-codec would work, if the sound would work..;-) There are more things that do not work correct than meets the eye btw.

I am on 10.2 now, to burn the 10.3-GM_11.0-Alpha0 kde delta. It was here also not recognised as an .iso image, but could be burned here. On 11.0 there seemed to be a problem with the long name, jolliet cut of. I could not get k3b to burn it in 11.0 A 0.1... I hope to be able to install the rc3 kernel. Where can i find out how to keep the old kernel, if a new one gets installed? That way i would be able to boot one that works. Much simpler would be to keep the previous kernel on the server for a while... - -- Have a nice day, M9. Now, is the only time that exists. why so complicated? download it to somewhere, boot rescue system, install the old kernel into the new system

you can do that, just rpm -i it, instead of rpm -U. then you can still select the old kernel in case the new kernel goes wrong. if one knows from where to download? But i just installed 2.6.24-rc4-git6-2-debug, see what that does in the network connections. Luckily it was installed before the download broke.. Linux 2.6.24-rc4-git1-2-debug x86_64 disconnects the whole time, very tiring.

this is where i was looking for.. tnx.
