[opensuse-kde] KDE localization and integration (feedback)
Hello listmates, I am running openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 8 and I just wanted to share some of the issues I have encountered regarding KDE localization and integration in general. Some of them may be KDE specific and not openSUSE's. If you install openSUSE 11.2 M8 in a language other English, two folders for Documents are created; in the case of Spanish, Documents and Documentos. I guess this applies to other languages. OpenOffice.org's "open" and "save as" dialogs are in English, even if you installed openSUSE in other language. Firefox's "open" and "save as" are localized. Whenever you plug in/insert a pendrive/DVD and click on it to mount it, the option selected by default is "download photos with digiKam" even if the media does not have any pictures. The entries "download photos with digiKam" and "open with file manager" are not localized. Maybe we could have another entry for playing music or movies as well. Greetings, Javier

I forgot to say that the panel on 11.2 m8 is a bit too small in my opinion, especially if you take into account today's standard big resolution screens. Javier

Certainly linked to this bug https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=543775 Could you add a comment about the localized creation ...

It's dbus rules, which are proposed when a new type of peripheral is open/mount So it's difficult to knows what it contain before. It's stupid, that just mimic the Windows M$ was of doing things. Some believe that's a good thing I call it a annoying non-feature (bug ? :-)) The entries "download photos with digiKam" and
"open with file manager" are not localized. Maybe we could have another entry for playing music or movies as well.
Yes but also have a quick way to modify adjust type of events.
Greetings, Javier
