[opensuse-kde] suse 10.2: xmms xmms-kde crash
Hello, xmms-kde, xmms and thus also klipper crashes every now and then... I cannot reproduce the error. It just happens sometimes... playing or not playing ogg-files... System: AMD 4200+ X2 KDE 3.5.6 SuSE 10.2 Latest versions of xmms and xmms-kde. Version of 2004... stalled development for xmms... what a pitty! I will provide you with some bug information if i find a way to do this. Thank you very much. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

A couple of things come to mind here. Are you using part or any parts of the SUSE builds? If so, that could be your problem. Pretty much everything works better if xmms is all Packman. Second, there are some other programs out now that emulate xmms's look without some of the bugs. As you mention xmms development has stalled, but things like Audacious and others are doing well. I'm very pleased with a new one I just found for the Xfce interface called xfmedia. regards, Lee -- --- KMail 1.96--- Zenwalk Linux v4.2 --- Registered Linux User #225206 "All animals except man know that the principal business of life is to enjoy it."--Samual Butler --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
